Health, childlessness and poverty in Latin American countries

Abstract: Recent literature proposes that poverty could lead women to remain childless, thus attenuating or reverting higher fertility typically observed among of lower schooling level. We explore the role health in this approach: does have a distinctive detrimental effect on levels? To end, we compute gap definite childlessness rate by self-reported disability status across levels. Due scarcity survey data from childless women, addition small sample sizes, use census samples. Focusing between 40-50 years old and using 23 samples Latin America countries (2000-2011), found only group with level there is clear status. From our descriptive analysis conclude indeed play an influential approach.
